IntelliPark has come a long way since 1995, when Vince Yost of Intelligent Devices designed and patented a device which linked a radio frequency sensor to a parking meter.

IntelliPark acquired the rights to Intelligent Devices' patents and, with a generous infusion of capital from our investors, we immediately committed significant resources to perfecting the vehicle sensing parking meter.  Advances in processing power and sonar sensors have increased our capabilities while reducing our cost and power requirements.  Our collaboration with researchers at the University of Maryland CALCE labs has taken product reliability to new heights.
