IntelliPark^TM Receives Order To Install The Company’s Advanced Parking Meters in Reading Pennsylvania

Bethesda, Maryland – IntelliPark announced today that the Reading Parking Authority has awarded IntelliPark a contract for 280 single-space parking meters.  

The order calls for IntelliPark to deliver the company’s patented IntelliMeter^TM parking meters that feature tool-free maintenance.  The tool-free maintenance feature allows simple maintenance procedures like clearing a coin jam in a fraction of the time required to service traditional meters.   

“IntelliPark’s IntelliMeter has the potential to revolutionize the single space parking meter,” said Larry Lee, Reading Parking Authority Executive Director. The ability to field upgrade the meters to operate with IntelliPark’s patented Vehicle Detection Unit (VDU) was a deciding factor in the award.  In field tests, the VDU generated an increase in revenue from 20 to 50% over standard single-space meters.
